Zombie Escape

Can you find your keys and return to your car before the zombies find you?

In this short experience, you are stuck in a forest late at night because you lost the keys to your vehicle. You are hearing some strange noises and figure it's best to leave as soon as possible. You decide to grab a flashlight and brave the forest to find your keys, but watch out! You never know what could be lurking out there.

Features

     -First-Person POV, move, jump, sprint.

     -Interactable Object and Item.

     -Flashlight

-AI Enemy with set spawn points and random patrols.

-Item Spawning with set spawn points

-Main menu with Screen and Volume options

     -Pause menu with volume options

Controls

    Movement - WASD

    Interact - E

    Flashlight - F

    Jump - Space

    Look - Mouse

    Inventory - Tab

Note: The inventory really isn't used for anything but picking up the key. In hindsight I really didn't have to include it for this, but I didn't really know what I was gonna make. The Inventory itself actually was from Zenva's course on making inventories so I thought I needed it but I actually wouldn't have.

I'm just trying to have fun learning to make stuff.

This game was made entirely in Godot 4.3 using GDScript.

Important Note!

Running the Windows executable trips the AV. I have read this is due to code signing certificates, I'm not too familiar with it right now. The workaround is obviously add and exclusion to your AV software. As a security conscious individual myself, I know that's pretty stupid. So if you don't want to run it, all good! I have a Linux build available because that's mainly where I'm developing the games as its the Operating System I use, but I do have the Windows build as an option its just not my expertise.

Credits

Thanks to these fine individuals for their work that I used in my project. Without you, the game wouldn't feel great to me. Thank you so much!

Please check out their works!

Side note: Their car is extremely awesome, the wheels look correct on their model, I think i just don't know entirely what I'm doing in Godot and made the wheels look messed up. This is because I MESSED IT UP. Just wanted to make sure everyone was clear that their model works, I just probably imported it wrong, I don't know, I'm super inexperienced.

Again thank you so much for your hard work on these assets. Without you, this little project would just be bland. It has character thanks to you.
